Black M.O.M. Virtual Support Group

Lishe is IBDC’s breastfeeding support group that is led by rotating breastfeeding experts with IBCLC credentials and supported by additional breastfeeding professionals.  The group is a web-based meeting via Zoom, sharing resources on the topic of the month through a virtual library. Group members can also take advantage of the lishe connection by attending special breastfeeding events, community workshops, and accessing breastfeeding consultations when needed.

Iowa Black Doula Collective's lishe, is a community-led, Black lactation professional-led space that supports breastfeeding and providing human milk to infants through personal connection, accessible education, peer-to-peer support, and community outreach for Black families in Iowa.

Lishe is a FREE breastfeeding support group for families who identify as part of the Black/African Diaspora and are choosing to provide human milk to their young child.
We are meeting virtually every 1st Tuesday of the month (except July is the 2nd Tuesday) at 12 noon CST

Let's get started.
